UZ Leuven is a part of the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven), and is renowned for its research and innovation, and its integration of cutting-edge medical advancements into patient care.

Role within JOIN4ATMP

UZ Leuven leads Work Package 5, focusing on increasing regulatory awareness of ATMPs in producers and acceptance in patients and healthcare professionals. Moreover, within this work package, UZ Leuven will conduct two key tasks: strengthening the early dialogue between ATMP developers and regulators, and setting up an EU ATMP expert platform for exchange of information and expertise. Additionally, UZ Leuven is involved in Work Package 4 on Real-World Data (RWD) and Real-World Experience, where it will map the use of real-world data/experience and propose solutions to enhance its application. Furthermore, UZ Leuven leads the JOIN4ATMP project's focus on common diseases.
